E.A.R.S. Lifeline Emergency Alert Response System
Lifeline provides peace of mind, independence, early intervention and reassurance to those living independently at home.
Noyes Hospital offers E.A.R.S. Lifeline: an affordable, easy-to-use personal emergency response system that allows you to call for help from anywhere in your home and yard when you are unable to reach the telephone. At the touch of a button, Lifeline will summon assistance in the event of an emergency, an injury, a worsening medical condition, or simply if you are worried or feel as though you are in danger. Most importantly, this program ensure s that older adults, young disabled and those with chronic medical problems living at home can get quick assistance whenever it is needed - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you would like more information about E.A.R.S. Lifeline, please contact our office: (585) 335-4359 or 1-800-242-1306, ext. 4613 or email: lifeline@noyes-hospital.org. You can also visit Philips Lifeline at www.lifelinesys.com for more information on the system.
How Does the Service Work? When you need help, you just press the waterproof Personal Help Button that you can wear as either a pendant , wristband, or watch. Within seconds, a certified Lifeline monitor responds, assesses the situation and summons appropriate help, whether it is a neighbor, relative or ambulance. The monitor who responds is a caring and extensively trained Lifeline professional. This person will have instant access to your pertinent health history and personal profile on his or her computer screen.
What If I Can’t Push My Help Button?
The consequences of a fall can be devastating. The longer it takes for you to get help, the worse the possible outcomes may be. Philips Lifeline, the leading medical alert service provider, now offers an added layer of protection. In 2010, we introduced the new AutoAlert option! The AutoAlert Button is the only pendant-style Help Button that automatically places a call for help if a fall is detected and you are unable to push your button, i.e. unconscious, disoriented or immobility.
Who is Lifeline For? This service is available to anyone who is concerned about their personal safety and well being at home.
Why do I Need Lifeline? Life is unpredictable. An unexpected fall or medical emergency could threaten your future health if help is delayed. With Lifeline, help is assured.

You are not required to buy any equipment or make a long-term commitment. There is an initial installation fee of $45. Following installation, the subscriber pays a $33 monthly monitoring fee that covers the rental of the equipment, the 24 hour/day monitoring service, maintenance of the equipment, battery updates, monthly testing on the unit, newsletter, and other services as needed. A sliding scale is available for those with low income. A monthly payment coupon book is provided.
How Are Funds Raised For New Lifeline Units? The majority of the Lifeline units are purchased using donations from many community organizations in Livingston County and the surrounding area. The United Way, Kiwanis Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Lion/Lioness Clubs, and church organizations have shown continued support through the years. We are very grateful to these community organizations, Noyes Hospital, and the Livingston County Office for Aging for their help and support.
