Hospice Care at Noyes Hospital
Caring for you and your family.

The care your family and loved ones receive from us is during their stay in hospice is coordinated with the patient, his or her family, nursing staff, a dietitian, social worker, the patient's physician, and other members of the hospice team.  Our focus is dignity and caring for both the family and the patient.

Visitation
Visitors are welcome to be with the hospice patient 24 hours a day if desired.  After 8 pm, we ask that all visitors use the Emergency Room entrance and check in with the Emergency Room unit clerk.  A family member may stay throughout the night and, upon request, the nursing staff will provide linen for guests.

Chapel and Spiritual Care
A list of on-call clergy is available if you wish to talk with a spiritual advisor.  Your own advisors are always welcome at the Hospital. The Hospital Chapel is located off the main lobby.  Room 316 is also available for meetings and activities with family members.

Services
A phone is available in each patient room

Complimentary television service is available to all patients

A microwave and refrigerator are available on the third floor in the kitchen, across from the nurses station.  Food should be labeled with the patient's name, room number, and the date.

A representative from Food Services will visit the patient daily to assist with menu selection.  A Dietitian or Diet Technician is available and will visit as needed.

Advance Directive
To ensure that we are respecting the patients final wishes for health care, if the patient has a Health Care Proxy, Living Will, or Durable Power of Attorney in place, please inform the Registered Nurse in charge of the patient's care.  A copy will be placed in the medical record.  If the patient does not have one of these directives, information about any of the above items is available from the physician or nurse, upon request.
