Volunteering
There are many roles you can play at Noyes, all of which will support us in providing the best care possible to community members.
ADULT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
MEALS ON WHEELS
These program volunteers deliver a warm meal to homebound residents within a 5-6 mile radius of the hospital 7 days a week, including holidays. It takes an hour out of the day to deliver the meals; it is up to the volunteer how many days they deliver in a month. There is ongoing need for volunteers in this area.
CHAPLAIN VOLUNTEER
Our chaplain volunteers go to the bedside and visit/pray with our patients. There is additional training and quarterly meetings required for these volunteers under the guidance of our lead chaplain volunteer.
GENERAL CLERICAL VOLUNTEER
These volunteers work in a variety of departments throughout the hospital to provide clerical support, such as: filing, collating, labeling, folding, data entry and/or answering phones.
WELCOME TEAM

TRANSPORT VOLUNTEERS
These volunteers transport patients and patient information at Noyes Memorial Hospital Monday thru Friday
COMFORT VOLUNTEERS
This special group of volunteers provides companionship to individuals at the end of life, offering respite care for loved ones and caregivers during the individuals stay at the hospital.
FRONT DESK VOLUNTEERS
These volunteers work at the main switchboard desk and assist families and visitors by providing directions and information. They also provide clerical support and assist with departmental projects, such as: folding, labeling, stuffing, and collating. Hours: Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
SPICEBOX GIFT SHOP AND COFFEE BAR
The gift shop is open Monday – Saturday from 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM and is located in the main lobby of the hospital. The gift shop offers a variety of gifts, cards, flowers, coffee and food for staff and visitors. Additional training on food safety is a requirement for all of the gift shop volunteers.
